Episode Summary

In this video about social awareness and hobbies, Dayna Lim explains about teenagers’ social norms and how difficult it is for kids on the spectrum to try and blend in to have a more purposeful social life.

Dayna also suggests how parents can try to nurture hobbies according to the kid’s character and so the kids can try to nurture friendships out of the hobby. Group sports is always challenging for autistic children so they can try to build confidence from doing individual sports first.

Dayna also advises parents how they can observe their kid’s character before deciding the suitability on the hobby to nurture
